INDENZ Scaling Industrial Site ElectrificationSolutions for Net Zero
The INDENZ project aims to advance the development and scaling of industrial site electrification solutions integrating electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, digital solutions, and supportive services to enhance resource efficiency and achieve net-zero emissions.
By collaborating with key partners such as Volvo CE, Epiroc, Swecon, Stena Recycling and Boliden, and leveraging trends in electrification, digitalization, and servitization, the project seeks to replace traditional industrial vehicles with electrification solutions, significantly reducing CO2 emissions and operational costs.
The initiative addresses challenges related to system integration, business model development, and ecosystem collaboration by creating tailored, scalable solutions and innovative multi-actor business models.
In the initial stage (1), the focus is on understanding needs, defining pilot cases, and assessing the potential for scaling solutions. The full project stage (2) involves building ecosystem capabilities, developing a strategic roadmap for scaling, creating and testing pilot solutions, and establishing strategies for international expansion, along with policy development. In the short term the goal is to integrate electrification solutions into the offerings of key industry players, achieve significant CO2 reductions, and enhance capabilities for scaling. In the long term the aim is to position Swedish vehicle manufacturers as global leaders in electrification solutions.
