AMBITION – new opportunities for climate-smart production

The AMbition project aims to strengthen the Swedish manufacturing industry’s ability to achieve the necessary transition toward net-zero emissions and increased resilience. By combining theoretical learning with practical application, the project creates a shared learning platform where companies, academia, and societal actors develop competencies in additive manufacturing (AM).

Built on the CDIO model, the project includes seminars, workshops, study visits, and three pilot cases that demonstrate the entire AM value chain from concept and design to manufacturing and validation. The results are packaged into a digital learning platform to ensure long-term access to knowledge. AMbition helps lower the barriers to technology adoption, shorten lead times, support more inclusive industry practices, reduce environmental impact, and strengthen industrial resilience through more local and flexible production solutions. At the same time, the project establishes lasting networks and supports long-term skills development by engaging actors across the entire value chain.
