Resource-efficient and cost-effective recycling of structural composites for circular industry – REPRIS

REPRIS develops a complete and scalable value chain for recycling and upgrading fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs), focusing on both carbon and glass fiber composites from industrial scrap and end-of-life products. The project combines low-energy pyrolysis (<5 MJ/kg), chemical recycling, and material upgrading to create high-value applications based on recovered fibers and pyrolysis oils.

By connecting recyclers, material developers, and industrial end-users, REPRIS demonstrates circular composite solutions in real industrial applications. The project has the potential to reduce climate impact by up to 90–98% compared to virgin materials and contributes to a resilient, resource-efficient, and competitive Swedish manufacturing industry aligned with Net Zero Industry 2040.
