How we work
Net Zero Industry mobilises and facilitates – we do not drive the transition ourselves. Instead, we create the conditions that enable industry, academia and the public sector to drive the transition together. This is how it works:
Theory of Change
Our Theory of Change describes how the programme will achieve its mission. It illustrates the relationship between objectives, activities and expected outcomes, providing an overarching framework for the programme’s development, governance and organisation.

Core Process
The Programme Office works according to a clearly defined core process to continuously identify the needs of industry. The process is not linear; rather, it illustrates how the programme continuously mobilises, listens, facilitates and acts – again and again.

Enabling Action
The programme creates opportunities and the conditions necessary for the manufacturing industry to achieve the mission. This begins with understanding the challenges industry faces in relation to the mission. We mobilise stakeholders across the system and identify critical needs, gaps and desired outcomes.
Based on these insights, we work together with the funding bodies to develop targeted and effective initiatives.
The funding bodies are responsible for launching calls for proposals. The Programme Office focuses on mobilisation, capacity-building and knowledge-sharing activities, while also supporting both new and ongoing projects throughout the process.
