Competence network and innovation advisory from a lifecycle perspective
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are currently facing increasing demands related to sustainability and climate impact. At the same time, many companies lack the knowledge and resources required to work strategically with sustainability issues within their own operations. Life cycle perspective is a method that analyzes the entire life cycle of a product or service, for example from raw material extraction and production to use and end-of-life management. By applying this perspective, companies can identify where the greatest impacts and the greatest potential for improvement lie and thereby work more strategically with resource use and environmental impact.
This project aims to strengthen SMEs’ competence in applying a life cycle perspective by establishing a knowledge network that provides advisory services and practical support. The network will serve as a platform for learning, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. Through individual advisory sessions, joint working group meetings, and access to resources for competence development, participating companies will be able to gradually build their knowledge from a basic understanding to strategic application.
The project is expected to enhance companies’ competitiveness, support the development of sustainable and circular products and business models, and facilitate efforts to meet both current and future sustainability requirements in their value chains.
