Net Zero Industry offers the opportunity to participate in Smart Eureka’s eighth international call for manufacturing research and development projects. Below you will find information about the international call.
What is Smart Eureka?
Smart Eureka is a programme focused on international collaborative projects that support innovation and technological development in advanced manufacturing close to the market. A Programme Office with international experts and funders evaluates the potential and relevance of applications, after which the national funders decide which projects receive funding.
The programme is characterised by:
- low threshold: it is easy to get started with international co-operation compared to many other initiatives.
- High success rate: While EU programmes generally have a success rate of around 10%, Smart Eureka normally offers better opportunities for qualified projects.
Requirements for Swedish projects:
For Swedish projects to qualify for Net Zero Industry’s call within Smart Eureka, they must be within the scope of Net Zero Industry’s mission: a competitive and resilient Swedish manufacturing industry with net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.
Benefits of participating:
- a step into Europe: participating in Smart Eureka provides a relatively easy and quick opportunity to establish international partnerships.
- strong support for innovation: projects have access to international expertise and evaluation
- possibility of continued funding: with the Eureka label, projects can apply for further support from Vinnova.
Important to note:
All parties receiving funding through Smart Eureka commit to pay a fee of 1.5% of the total project budget to the Smart Eureka office.
