Kompetensutbyte mellan LTH och Cleantech Östergötland
Current role and organisation – and planned mobility placement:
Professor at Faculty of Engineering at Lund University (LTH)) – Cleantech Östergötland (KompClean)
The project has two objectives: 1) To jointly identify appropriate ways of supporting industrial companies in eastern Sweden in matters relating to design for sustainability and circularity, thereby laying the foundation for future support initiatives, 2) To establish a long-term collaboration between LTH and Cleantech Östergötland that strengthens both organizations’ capacity to address transition challenges related to the Net Zero Industry mission.
The arrangement is that a professor at LTH with expertise in product development, hereinafter referred to as the researcher, will spend time on-site at Cleantech Östergötland to both identify opportunities for broadening the organization’s offering to its members with a focus on design for sustainability and circularity, and jointly define the framework for a more long-term and enduring collaboration.
The project focuses on the competencies required by industrial companies to integrate sustainability and circularity into their operations in support of net-zero objectives. The project identifies and specifies working methods and collaborative approaches through which the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University (LTH) and Cleantech Östergötland can work together on industry-oriented transition challenges. A key deliverable of the project is a roadmap outlining the next steps. This roadmap will describe which future activities should be prioritized by LTH (with a focus on research needs) and Cleantech Östergötland (with a focus on support activities for companies) to enhance industrial companies’ capacity to design products, processes, and business operations for sustainability and circularity.
